Dear chess friends,

Let us invite you most cordially to this year´s upcoming chess festivals held within the frame of CZECH TOUR 2023-Autumn and 2024-Winter Series.

At the turn of 2023/2024, we have prepared for you 7 chess festivals listed below. Until the end of the year, the traditional tournaments in Hradec and Brno will take place, for which we prolonged the deadline for applications without an extra fee until 1 November, resp. 7 November 2023.

The beginning of 2024 will start, as in previous years, with festivals Prague Open and Marienbad Open. Pilsen Open and also PICF at the Don Giovanni hotel were moved to the February date.

At the turn of March and April, a special part of the Czech Tour series will take place on the Ko Lanta island in Thailand, which will follow up on the 2012 and 2014 editions. This is an exceptional opportunity to combine an exotic vacation with a chess tournament rated for ELO FIDE, and at very affordable prices.

Round-robin GM and IM tournaments, FIDE Open, Senior Open 50+, rapid and blitz tournaments.

17^th – 24^th February 2024

Round-robin IM tournament, FIDE Open, rapid and blitz tournaments.

VI. Prague International Chess Festival

27^th February – 7^th March 2024

Round robin tournaments Masters (Already announced players - Richard Rapport, David Navara, Mateusz Bartel, Van Nguyen), Challengers (GM) and Futures (youths), grandmaster open with GM norm, round-robin amateur tournaments, side events - rapid, blitz, Fischer random chess, basque chess and solving competition.

III. LANTA OPEN

28^th March – 3^rd April 2024

FIDE Open, special part of Czech Tour 2024 series

Thailand is a country where exoticism, quality services and low prices combine. Ko Lanta is one of the most beautiful Thai islands with a length of about 30 km. A Czech guide will be on site. From the offer of the accompanying program: a trip to Phuket, a boat trip, diving, snorkeling, riding elephants, visiting a snake farm, etc. It is ideal to extend your stay by a week after the end of the tournament and use it for the above activities.
